SURVEILLANCE L.A. is a California licensed Private Investigation Agency (PI 23273) in Los Angeles.

We are specialized in field investigation, especially insurance fraud and Worker’s Compensation cases. Our surveillance activities can uncover and convey the personal lifestyles of fraudsters, employees, spouses, children and/or any other individuals.

The owner of SURVEILLANCE L.A., Mr. Kenji Yamaga, is a licensed private investigator and also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He graduated from University of New Haven with an MS in Forensic Science (concentration in Advanced Investigation), and has been in the investigation business for more than 10 years. Mr. Yamaga is an active member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Mr. Yamaga is also a martial arts expert and has a black belt in Judo and Kempo (Japanese martial arts).

One of our most remarkable cases is an international insurance fraud case. The subject was a Japanese female who had been missing for 8 years. Before she went missing she told her family that she was going to the US for her export business, but never came back. Her husband got a court decision declaring her legally dead and tried to a file an insurance claim. An insurance company in Japan contacted us and asked to collect any information of this missing female in the U.S. After the diligent investigation, we found out that the female had been working for a small drug store in San Diego, CA. We conducted full surveillance, and video recorded her current appearance, daily activity and her new residence. Based on our report, with high quality visual evidence, the Japanese court declined the insurance claim. Our client company was able to avoid false claims of more than $1 million.
